My present scanner is not the best and unfortunately much of the detail does not show. I will be working primarily in pen and ink but I am working on combining 3 different mediums, pen and ink, graphite and color. Individual hair is drawn in the actual hair growth pattern (contour), I feel this gives the animals more depth, and stipple in the shadow and detail areas. My focus will be horse potraits in the very near future, as horses are my passion.
A few of the horses below are of my own horses and you can see the actual horse along with their portrait on the mares and geldings pages. I have just started to venture into birds and other mammals and hope to have several samples up soon.
